Jane's Story
Life
Married 32 years!!! WOW! I married Brien Whittington from Skyline High School. We have three kids: Linda (31 yrs), Monica (21 yrs), and Paul (16 yrs). I grew up with a cat; however, I am now a dog lover. We have a Golden Retriever named Jackson. We named him after one of our favorite places: Jackson Wyo. and the Tetons.
Brien is a Family Doctor in Colorado Springs. We have lived here for 20 years now and consider it home. The skiing, hiking, biking, etc in Colorado are all awesome! Sports are still a big deal to me. I still exercise daily and enjoy being active.
My degree is in Civil Engineering from the Univ. of Missouri-Columbia. I was the breadwinner while Brien finished his training and schooling. My favorite engineering job was ...Expand for more
working on 'Star Wars' in Colorado Springs at Kaman Sciences. Once Paul, who is now 16 years old, was born I dropped out of engineering and became Brien's office manager. Right now, I am going back to school to earn my teaching certificate in secondary math. I want to teach high school kids the joy of numbers!
Music is still and always will be a passion. I am in a Catholic Church contemporary music group. I play keyboard and sing. My daughter, Monica, is also in the group. She has the gift of music.... Our group has put out a few CDs, and we put on concerts all over Colorado and Kansas. It is like a dream come true! I have been with this same group for 14 years now, and feel like we are all one big happy family.
