Janee's Story
Life
After high school, I attended University of Illinois where I earned both a bachelors and masters degree in accounting.
Moved around a lot the next few years, but finally settled in Northern California in 1986. For 14 years, I was Financial and Tax Reporting Manager for a regional HMO until they closed the business under bankruptcy.
I was married to my husband, Wallace, since 1988, but we separated in early 2008. In 1998 we adopted a beautiful baby boy, Noah. He is the absolute joy in our lives.

what I was looking for. Of course, it meant another move for us, this time to Urbana, IL, home of my beloved Fighting Illini. I am back with a regional health plan, this time Health Alliance, as a senior financial analyst. We bought a fantastic old house that has had additions and various remodels through the years. It is funky and cool and just what I wanted! I am hoping to find a way financially to keep the house post-divorce.
And by the way, just so you know, all my new acquaintances know me as Jan, not Janee. I always hated that name and as an adult managed to pretty well ditch it except for my family and childhood acquaintances.
