Life I attended the University of Tulsa and Oklahoma State University and graduated with a degree in elementary education. My husband and I were married two weeks after graduating college and moved to the Oklahoma City area until he finished his ROTC training. We left Oklahoma in 1980 as he began a 20 year career as a military officer. We have lived all over the United States and I learned to adjust to blizzards, intense heat, the D.C. beltway, and to make friends quickly. I loved the adventure of going to a new place and finding my way around. My husband and I have three precious children who have grown up to be caring, independent adults. Our daughters are married and one of them lives far away. She and her husband have two little boys. The other daughter lives a few hours away and she and her husband have a little girl. Our son is married and also lives a few hours away. We returned to Oklahoma in the summer of 2000 to live and be close to our parents and siblings. I was able to help care for my mom in her last years. I never thought "coming home again" would be so heartfelt. Music has always been a big part of my life from the time I was a child.
