Janet's Story
Life
I am married to Lee Newman who is the Director of Construction and Chief Building Official for LaGrange. I have one daughter Tammy who is 37 and 2 grandsons, aged 15 and 5 years old. We have traveled most of our married life. My husband was in Construction Management so we were always on the go. We spent many years in the West Indies. Now that was an adventure!!!! Have had a very exciting and fulfilled life. Have traveled all over the world and loved every minute of it. My husband Lee Newman was the Grand Marshall for the LaGrange Christmas Parade in 2004.
Here it is 2006 and our lives are about to take another turn of events. Lee is going to retire in March and we have sold our 4,000...Expand for more
plus sq. ft. house and moving into a motor home we just purchased. We are going to live in it until he retires and then we plan to start our traveling again. This time we are going to see the U.S. I suppose when we get tired of that we will settle down again and build another house. We just don't know what state we want to live in.
That was 2006 and now it is 2009 and Lee did not retire. He decided to stay on with the city just a little bit longer so we bought a small house. I mean so small, we could hardly turn around in it. So then we bought another house and rented to sale the first house. I don't like this one either but it is bigger and has a great back yard with a lake and ducks.
