As I was in high school, I'm still a political and religious liberal, and am now much more of a feminist than I would have labeled myself then. My interests include history (particularly Civil War period), mental health issues, geneaology, mystery and thriller novels, documentaries, musical theater, dining out, and everything my grandkids do. I like to watch Jeopardy! and reruns of M.A.S.H. My best-ever vacation was a 1978 trip to Italy, Israel and Greece. Southern California, South Dakota, and New York City have also been favorite destinations. I continue to be amazed at the pace of technological progress since my youth while my sons are amazed anyone actually survived childhood with black and white TV and a party line and my granddaughter is amazed that when I was a girl I had to wear a skirt to school.
My "bucket list" includes another visit to Italy, a train trip across the U.S., an Alaskan cruise, writing a book, joining at least one "walk" each to benefit breast cancer and diabetes research, building one more new home, and dying before any of my children or grandchildren.
