Janet Layshock:  

Life Following high school, I attended Youngstown State for three years majoring in Business Administration. I married Ray Layshock in 1960 and we had a son Paul later that year. Daughter Jean and Son Tom followed within the next five years while we moved first to Kent then Springfield, Ohio and then to Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Ray worked for International Harvestor (now Navistar) and I worked for General Electric. We owned an 80 acre farm from 1969-82 where our three children got all the benefits of the farm experience. Chores, Chores, Chores. They have become responsible adults because of their training there we are convinced. The last time I saw some of you was at the 50th class reunion. That was a really good time! We moved to Cary, Illinois in 1982 when Ray was transfered here by IH as a purchasing manager. I had to give up my job at GE after 16 years there working in the quality department. We bought a landscaping business in 1983 when Ray decided to quit IH after 18 years. I worked at Elecpac, a manufacturer of hermetic glass seals for military applications as a quality manager for 10 years and helped a little in the landscape business which...Expand for more
