Janet's Story
Life
I left Downey to go to UCI where I met my husband-to-be on my first day of college. I married at the end of my junior year of college and we have now celebrated 43 years of marriage. We have lived either in California or Texas, and now have been in Lubbock, Texas for the past 29 years. (Lubbock is the home of Buddy Holly, the true King of rock and roll.) College:
I graduated from the University of California at Irvine in June 1972 with a major in Linguisitcs.
Professional Life:
I have worked in Human Resources for over 35 years, and am currently the Managing Director of Human Resources at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center where I have worked for 29 years. I'm pretty sure I am going to keep working for another 6 years!
