JANET's Story
Life
People always say that I should write a book about my life. Yet, I can't think of anything to use 4,000 letters for in this space that would possibly be of interest. I haven't married, yet, but led a kind of Bohemian lifestyle, deciding to have 3 children. But I don't think that would surprise anyone that really knew me. In fact, it's now been on my mind to create a foster home for other children. Didn't much care for student life, so I never completed college, but had good jobs. I was injured on the job, while working as a dispatcher for the City of Rochester, and have been labeled perm. disabled. As a sideline job during those years, I worked with some of the most notable names in music, which was truly my passion. I have lived in several different places since 1985,including Las Vegas and Los Angeles, but my heart remained in Rochester. One of my biggest interests now, is finding as many of the people I remember from school, or work, just to know if they are happy & healthy. I do a lot of things to keep busy, such as making jewelry and clothes. Although I never much bothered with a comp. until last year, it now brings me endless enjoyment. So, if you find yourself reading this, I hope you find the time to send me an e-mail and let me know how you are. MAR...Expand for more
CH 19, 2008..... Postscript.......I'm now back in Rochester (I just keep turning up), so I'd like to catch up with old friends and see where they are and what they're doing.
P.P.S.....hmmm, been awhile since I updated. I see that it now says I can use almost 18,000 characters to write my story. that's a LOT of writing. bought a house a year ago, and am fully immersed doing renovations to make it what I want. there is a carriage house out back, which I've posted a picture of in my album, and am trying to co-ordinate funding to restore it. the property is over 100 yrs. old. I'd like to see the carriage house put to good use. maybe volunteers could work with neighborhood kids for crafts, music, whatever. been working with the neighborhood assoc. to see what can be worked out. in the main house, painting is coming along slow but sure. I can't do it as fast as I used to. the landscaping I did over the summer will end 'as is,' until spring comes and it will be time to pick up where I left off. might fly off like a big bird if we get a brutal winter this year. still waiting to connect with more old friends...... I think the one thing I'd be remembered for the most back in high school was bringing a Wilmer and the Dukes dance to reality in the gym.
