Workplace
My position started as administrative assistant, after 5 years promoted to Assistant Branch Mananger/Asst Vice President, three years later promoted to Branch Manager/Vice President which I held until retirement.
Awards and Honors:
In 1970 was honored by being selected to appear in the 1970 edition of "Personalities of the South".
In 1977 won the "Career Woman of the Year" given by the Columbia Business and Professional Womens Organization.
In 1980 received the award of "Best Dressed" in professional field.
In 1995 was the recipient of the "Twin Award" given by the Columbia YWCA recognizing work done both in my profession and in the community.

ber of Commerce. This award is an international award and is judged on the criteria of your service to your community in many categories and achievements in your profession. In 1996 apointed by the International ATHENA Foundation as State Director for South Carolina.
In 1996 appointed by the Govenor of the Sate of South Carolina to serve on the state foster care review board. I served on this board for 8 years.
In 2000 was awarded the "Woman of Distinction" award given by the General Federation of Women's Clubs and was recognized at the GFWC International convention in New Orleans, La.
On January 26, 2010 I was awarded The Order of the Palmetto, the highest civilian honor given by the Governor of South Carolina. The Governor looks at the lifelong service an individual has given to the State of S.C. in many areas of public service. The award was presented by the Governor at the State Capitol.
