Jani's Story
I married Paul Franklin, Class of '67 in my senior year and lived in San Francisco for 2 years while he was in the Navy. He passed away in early '72. I moved to Prunedale that year and still love the area, (but I will always be an 'Alisal Girl').
I married Charles Grubb in late '73. We have 2 beautiful daughters Shelby and Jadrian. We were divorced in '97 but are still friends and were next door neighbors for several years until he moved to Idaho.
I was lucky enough to meet the man I was meant to be with within a very short time of getting a divorce and have been together for 11 years, and recently (Sept 28th, 2008) we were married. Since being with Brant I have felt as though his kids are mine and have another daughter, Bonnie and a son Ryan. My daughter Shelby blessed us with a grandson almost 6 years ago and he is the light of our lives. We just found out that we will be grandparents again, since Bonnie is expecting a daughter in June of 2009.

Our 40th reunion is right around the cormer and I hope to see alot of faces that have not come to the reunions before and old friends and acquaintances that have. Regardless of attendance in the past, I hope everyone will give the reunion a try and find out as I have that whether you really knew some well or not it is alot of fun to see each other again.
I have been on the committee for several years and this year we are going to be very casual and hope it will encourage classmates to attend and see how much fun it is to re-connect with those from our school days, whether we were close friends or not. It is so much fun to just touch bases with those we remember from school or our old neighborhoods and have a good time visiting, recalling the good (and bad) times when we didn't know how good we had it....
I so remember wishing for the long straight surfer girl hair and having to show up at school with my frizzy, curly hair that what the fog hadn't curled up, swimming class did!! Now I enjoy my curly hair and am fatter and gray and having the time of my life just being ME...
Hope to see alot of classmates at the reunion in July 2009.
