Janice's Story

I have a brother, Lew, who was in the class of '54; and a sister, Marcia, in the class of '60.
Early in life I wanted to be an airline hostess(flight attendant, to be politically correct today). Of course, I was too tall.
I was an executive secretary in the space industry for quite a few years; a couple of years as secretary to the Principal at Marina High School in Huntington Beach; and a Court Reporter for a few years.
Moved to Maui and spent approx 25 years there. Decided I wanted to be "Ms. Maui P.I." Obtained an AA in Liberal Arts, an AS in Criminal Justice, and a BS in Public Admin.
Worked as a Claims Adjuster for 1st Hawaii Ins. Co.; then went to work as an Investigator for the State of Hawaii. Loved it!!! Retired in Aug 2000.

irst thing I did was relocate to the West coast. Went white water rafting. What a blast! Bought a cute 1989 automatic-ticket-red Corvette and took a 7,000 mile trip across the US and back to Calif.
Traded that '89 Vette for a 1997 red Vette; and the latest baby is a red 2004 Vette.
Very active in community affairs. Spent 16 years on the board of Maui Crime Stoppers; President of Maui Business and Professional Women's organization; chaired the Hawaii Federation's annual convention; served on the Board of Liquor Adjudication for 5 years and held the position of President for a few years.
I love Boxing, and NBA Baketball.
