Janice's Story
Life
In brief:
*graduated from SUNY Stony Brook, School of Nursing
*worked Med-Surg for approx 8 years at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola
*left there to work for IPRO - a healthcare quality improvement organization; been there for 12 years
*started out reviewing charts, worked my way up to Senior Director - now manage 4 government accounts, travel often for work. I really enjoy my work, but wouldn't mind having more time at home!
*met and married a guy from Turkey (who'da thunk?)
*have 2 beautiful, sweet children - boy, 9 years old; girl, 5 years old
*live in a nice, (very) little cape in Seaford
*what little spare time I can find, I spend with my family, playing games, reading, doing kid arts and crafts, watching family movies, baking cookies and brownies...
*also enjoy doing fundraising for PTA, coor...Expand for more
dinating for local soccer club; puts my organizational skills to good use!
*best purchase in the last year - backyard trampoline!
*that's about it, it's a quiet, but VERY full little life! Wouldn't trade it for the world!
Update 2012:
*Still working at IPRO, now PT as a Project Manager (16 years as of June '12)
* Still married, still 2 kids, 10 yo and 14yo
* Added another family member in 2011 - black lab/? from NSAL, Madison/Maddie is 21 months old and 100 pounds! We ADORE her. Never imagined I would ever own a doggy!
* Still in our little Seaford cape
* No longer coordinating for soccer or fundraising, but I am a Class Mom!
* Still have that trampoline, but it got a little mangled from Sandy. Other than that and some spoiled food, no damage from the storm.
Been a bumpy few years since 2008, but we are OK :)
