Janice's Story
My friends call me Jan, some Pocahontas, my nickname since playing that character for 12 years for such charities as the March of Dimes, American Diabetes, and others in the Atlanta area where I live. All the events were associated with motorcycle rides or shows. After modeling for two years for Harley Davidson, I began producing fashion shows, the most well-known was for the Motoworld tv show on ESPN in 1996 and the 30th anniversary party for the movie, "Easy Rider", at the Roxy Theatre in Atlanta in 1998. I really became active in that to ease the pain of my divorce from Don Bailey after 25 years of marriage and 3 great kids, Brandon, Clint, and Erika. on 2006 National Salesperson of the year for the corporate office of AutoTrader.com., a division of the communications giant, Cox Enterprises, the former owner of the Greenville Daily Reflector, just to name one of their newspapers. For the past two years, I'm currently in sales for OVE.com, Cox's online marketplace for automotive wholesale purchasing, still in the corporate headquarters. Life is good!
I always wanted to be a veterinarian when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a fine idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I'm happpy having had the world travels to China, the Caribbean, Acapulco, Alaska, and Hawaii that sales careers have brought and the confidence that being number one nationally is redeeming for a mostly stay at home mom all those years.
