Janice's Story

Grew up on a farm, worked in Roses Dime Store throughout high school. After graduation from Hannah High, I attended The McLeod School of Nursing, graduating in 1960. Passed state board exams and became a Registered Nurse. Worked in McLeod Emergency Room. Went to Kingstree to help open up the new Williamsburg County Memorial Hospital. e new hospital there. Had a daughter & son. We stayed in Lake City to raise our family. I retired from the school system and Jim from Talon where he was the plant manager. We have 6 grandchildren who live in Lake City. Son Tony owns First Choice Ambulance Service and guess who volunteers? Also take care of Daddy who is a resident at Commander Nursing Center. Recently I transferred some of his music from cassette to CD.
