Janice's Story
I have traveled quite a lot. Spent 2 1/2 months in Western Australia 2005 just traveling and hiking the outback; from Western Australia is was time to "go back home". Spent some time in Egypt, China, South Korea, and Germany. I am now back in Western Australia (2009) for school. I now live (Western Australia) here permanently since 2014.
I have two children, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Planning to finish my Pharmacy degree in Western Australia. Wood is my life line to America a& the good ole heart.
Picked Colorado for the cabin it is the closest to Alaska (home) for the outdoors. But I still have a cabin their (Alaska) & likely when I finally decide to settle down that is where home is. I hope that is where Wood would like to be down the line with me, then I will stay in Colorado. I am also hopeful that Wood will asked me to marry him...we will see. Did not happen. So, that is why the big move.
At the end of the year 1999, I made my second biggest comprise, when I realized that Vutichai (Woody) H. pop into my dull life. Due to a bet at the printing company that I worked for; the employees made, that Wood had to take me on a date. Well, this was one on my better dates; we went fishing, so Wood is now a very important person in my life; still is.
Still love the great outdoors, do extreme hiking & camping. Hope to have my oldest grandson do ic...Expand for more
e climbing with me; did not happen, since my son say "NO, I need to settle down & become a behaving grandma". I say "boo, hiss, hiss". My family says I have not changed much and that I enjoy life a little to much for my own good. I have out lived two husbands.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Chris Davis and William 'Bill' White, I caught up with Bill. He sounds great. Chris went out of his way at least to give me the time of the day; much less have a conversation with me. Since, I was the "married girl" in school that brought Blue (baby). William (Bill) White asked me out first instead Chris. I have/would to give both of these men hug, a pat & a pinch on the bum, just for watching out for me in school. Only both of these men knew my true status and they kept it a secret. By the way Blue ways asked about you two men, even to this day. I have reported to her about Bill. Not sure what happened to Chris.
I have been back home, to Alaska in Sept 2017, for 2 weeks to check on the cabin. I just missed the closure for Dawson City pass by Little Gold. Had to go back to BC & went to Whistler for a visit. Headed down to the lower 48's to visit family. Daughter is good, but, hell: family does not seem to change.
Now living in the Southwest of Western Australia, where it is cooler. I do go out in the Outback for gold prospecting; four months out the year.
