Janie's Story
Hi! Buccaneers,
I went to S.F. Austin elementary from approx. 1952 -1958 and on to Ella Barnes from approx.
1959- 63, and then on to Roy Miller. I never did graduate. In 1964 I married a sailor and moved to
California. I have 2 wonderful sons and 3 beautiful granddaugthers. I'm still in California with my second husband where I did finish school and became an upholstery College instructor. I taught upholstery throughout the bayarea
military bases and local colleges. I'm still doing upholstery and teaching. My husband and I live a very quiet life and we

ve the Bay area. My siblings all still live in Corpus, with one brother in San Antonio and a sister in Houston I did loose a brother Chuy in 1977 to drowning and my baby brother Johnny in 1966 . He was hit a car. It was one of our
neighbors who was drunk at the time. My baby sister Terry still lives in our house where we were raised on Cortez.
It's been about 7 years since I've been back after my mom past away. I hope that when I go home I'll get to see and
reacquaint myself with old classmates, neighbors and relatives. Hope you are one of them. Bless you all.
