Jane's Story
Life
In June 1965, I attended an airline school in Kansas City, Missouri and afterwards moved to Vero Beach. I returned to Tallahassee to work for two years and then spent a summer working in Freeport, Bahamas before attending Tallahassee Community College.
In 1968, I was hired by the State Florida/Colombia Alliance and later allowed leave to study Spanish in Bogota, Colombia. I continued working for the State and completed a Master's degree in Public Administration in 1986. The highlight of my career was bein...Expand for more
g appointed Quality Council Executive Director by the Secretary of Labor. In 2000, I retired from State Government as a State Administrator.
What do I enjoy the most about retirement? FREEDOM: no boss, no stress, and no deadlines! Instead of work, my focus now is on my home, helping my mother, and spending time with my twin sister, Jeanie. I am married and have one stepdaughter and granddaughter living in Missouri.
Staying fit and healthy is a top priority. My favorite pastime is walking around Lake Ella.
