Janine's Story
Wow, where does one start? My folks moved us away from Metzger after the divorce in 1968, and I found myself transplanted to a rural town in southwest Washington. LOL I always said I'd be the first one of us kids to leave Raymond, but actually I am the only one that still lives here 42 years later.
My husband and I have a combined family of 7 kids and, yes, we raised most of them together. My son is 30 and my daughter is 35 yrs, while his children are 30,31,36,41 & 44 yrs. The list of grandchildren continues to grow each year, and at last count we have 19. I think we're either trying to repopulate the earth or start a whole new town all by ourselves!

innie is a Malmute/Shepherd mix.
My husband "retired" from teaching after 32+ years, but he can't seem to stay out of the classroom. He still substitutes for our local jr/sr high school as well as volunteering at the college for GED/Work Readiness students.
I went back to college after raising most of the kids and earned a degree in Behavioral Science and Counseling. Currently I enjoy teaching Psychology for our local college as well as being a counselor for the college students in Raymond & Ilwaco.
Any spare time is spent trying to stay ahead of the moles and weeds at our place in the valley. I love to garden and spend time with my wonderful neighbors who range from 87-96 yrs. They have so much to share about life and help with learn many new gardening tips!
