Janis's Story
As I have gotten older and matured I have finally realized the true essense of what brings me happiness. Being around the people that I love and care about, going to a career that I love, having time for me and my friends and family.
My 2 daughters, age 17 (has graduated) and 15 (in grade 11 this coming fall) have made me appreciate them and admire them for the strong individualistic people they are. They have become fine young women without giving me too many grey hairs. Both are self assured and leaders with very strong views and opinions which they are not afraid to voice (wonder where they get that from).
I have completed working for the government in a job that I love STILL! I have taken on a new role 2 years ago which has enabled me to grow and put me in a position to go back to school and take courses - wh...Expand for more

I have now decided that not being married because it keeps everyone elses life on an even keel is not for me. I am a free woman and love it - although I am in a new relationship with a man who has been my best friend for the past 20 years. He has worked with me and has seen every side of me and accepts me - what more could I want at this stage. He is a phenomenal listener and is about being with the people he loves. Everyone else comes first! I am grateful for finally understanding what the term 'soulmate' means.
I am happy, in love and looking forward to the next 25 years since I will be half a century old this fall.
My high school reunion of 30 years in 2008 was great and I look forward to the next one.
Take care everyone and be true to yourselves since we only pass this way once.
