I grew in Mokena my hole life and its a pretty boring town. I come from a long line of gear jammers in my family. me and my three brothers dive semis. My dad is a retired truck driver. Also one of my cousins drives a rig and one of my buddies too. There isn't to much farm land left in these parts, its mostly sold for houses or commercial. a lot of people sold out there farms for the big money, a few sold and move and kept on farming, and some sold to the forest preserve and there farms usually stay in tacked. I may have grown up in an urban town, but let me tell you that I ain't no city slicker. My aunt use to have a hobby farm just down the road from me. Me and my younger brother have raised cattle, hogs, chickens, and turkeys. We also butchered our chickens...Expand for more
and turkeys for meat for the winter and the same with the cattle and hogs. My aunt sold the farm because they were getting pushed out by developing of farm land and they bought another farm. On my aunts farm just down the road,I started baling hay at age 13 and learned to drive tractors. I also have a aunt and uncle that a dairy farm in southern Wisconsin. Me and my brothers have gone up and visited on the farm since we were little. We helped out with milking cows, feeden calves, pick en sweet corn in august, and driving tractors, and other projects my uncle would come up with for us to help out with. We did the hole thing with sweet corn, taken off the husk and hair, then boiling the corn, then cutten it off of the cob and putting the corn in freezer bags. This was also our food for the winter besides getting a steer butchered or a hog. Also my mom has big garden that grows a lot food that my mom cans or puts in freezer bags for the winter too. I graduated Lincoln - Way Highschool in 2000 and went to Parkland college in Champaign, IL and graduated in 2003 with an Associate degree. I studied Diesel Power Technology. We,ll now I drive semi for a local grain elevator. I also help out a buddy of mine working on his dads farm. I like to go four wheeling with my buddies,go to farm shows, have bond fires at buddies place, goen to the movies and hanging out having fun with my friends and family. So yeah farming and trucking is in my heart and in my blood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!".
