Jason's Story
Writer, instructor, and communications consultant, Jason has taught at several universities and colleges at night while working as a writer and communications consultant full-time by day.
A family man, Jason is married with three children, and lives on Lake Tishomingo, Missouri.
Born in Carbondale, Illinois, Jason grew up in Southern Illinois until the age of 10, when the Jon Covington family moved to Cupertino, California to pursue work with Apple Computer in international marketing. There Jason graduated with English honors from Monta Vista High School.
Jason completed a Bachelor's degree in Communications from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. After less than three years there, he returned to his roots in Carbondale to finish a Master's degree and to begin his writing and teaching career.

Jason's consulting led him into marketing, communications, documentation, Internet, media relations, and new business development.
Jason's primary interests include the outdoors and fishing.
Projects include work at MYNAH, Cernium, APC, Express Scripts, Computerized Medical Systems, bioMérieux, Convergys, Anheuser-Busch, MasterCard, Boeing, Sprint, and EDS.
Additionally, Jason has worked in the family businesses, MobileVillage.com and for the Mobile & PDA Expo.
Jason first started teaching at the community colleges and their satellite campuses in Illinois, including Southwestern Illinois College and Lewis and Clark. In Missouri, he has taught at St. Louis Community College, Jefferson College, then Fontbonne University and University of Phoenix.
