Jason's Story

Spent 6 years at U of I in Chambana - earned a BS & MS for the time & effort - both in Kinesiology. Moved to Maryland (between Baltimore and DC) in '97 and have lived here since. In that time I've earned my doctorate as well as grown in terms of life / intellectual / spiritual / philosophical perspectives ... not quite the amicable and overtly Catholic/conservative person I was in HS, but then again, who doesn't change a bit after 15+ years? Not as much of a homebody anymore either - so far I've made it to several places in the UK and Europe as well as brief trips to Taiwan & Jamaica - love traveling around the US as well as any other country I can put aside the time & money to visit. I now work on "human-robot interacti...Expand for more
on" for an engineering firm in Northern Virginia. My group develops & matures technology for robotic military vehicles -- waaaay different work than I ever thought I'd be doing. I have never yet been married - but I am now engaged and love being an Uncle to my nephew (Matthew) as well as a person who approximates an 'adult figure' for the two sons of my fiance, Nisha - with whom I have had a relationship for the past 3+ years ... While I prefer my adopted 'home' of Maryland now, I regularly, though somewhat infrequently, visit my true home. My parents still live in Bristol, my brother, his wife (Sandi Larson) & their son Matty are just outside of Chicago, and some of my closest friends (yo Badmo!) still reside in the area.
