Jason's Story

Life I live in a historic home in Downtown Phoenix with my wife of 10 years- Diane Aiello, who is a professional make-up artist and owner of a cosmetic store/salon in Scottsdale. I have no children. School Ann Kashiwa (AK) was my favorite teacher of all time, including college. Her AP European History class was key for developing my eventual career in Art Education (she forced me to give a slide lecture in Art History as a way of making up for sleeping in class all the time in the morning). I re-connected with her right before I graduated from college, and we kept in touch for several years (it's been about 9 years since we last spoke). Another highlight was winning a couple of those sailboat races during mini-term.... including a race with 30 mile winds and a boat half full of water. I raced with my dad with his sailing team 15 years later and that class still came in handy. College I went to Arizona State University from 1988 to 1994 and graduated with a B.F....Expand for more
A. with an emphasis in painting. I went to the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business in the fall of 2004. Workplace After graduating at ASU, I was in public education for 10 years and after I taught visual arts for several years I eventually served as a high school Principal for a "Fame" type public charter school for the Performing and Visual Arts in Tempe, Arizona. I also served as a guest delegate for American Charter Schools in the Lincoln college at Oxford University in Great Britain in 2003. I left public education in 2004, and I now sell real estate with Re/Max after a growing frustration with the allocation of educational funds by the State of Arizona (Arizona ranks in the bottom 5 for education spending, but it typically has the 7th best economy of the 50 states). The flexiblity of selling real estate allows me to spend more time working on my artwork, which is best described as a mixture of figurative and abstract expressionism (mostly oil paintings).

20 years ago today I married an amazing woman. Tirelessly hard working, passionate, creative, empathetic, smart, strong and beautiful. She is an inspiration. I love you my wife.
