Life
Big brother to Lonny Berman (Cardozo '77) and Wendy Berman [Goldberg] (Cardozo '80). Received B.E.E. from The Cooper Union in 1978 and M.S.E. from Princeton University in 1979. Joined AT&T (Bell Laboratories) in 1978 and accepted early retirement from AT&T in 2003 at age 45. I then (re)-joined Lucent Technologies which was acquired by Alcatel in 2006, and is based in Paris. Married to Zoe Ratech (Francis Lewis '76) since 1980 with one daughter, Spring, who is a PhD student at the University of Pennsylvania concentrating in robotics/mechanical engineering. We have been living in Livingston, NJ since 1983. Interests include politics, stock & options investing, horse racing, and bicycling. Greetings to all of my Cardozo H.S. and Cooper Union friends!
