Jay's Story
My final year of high school was spent at East Lansing High School. I spent much of that year taking classes at Michigan State University. In 1999, I entered MSU full-time and studied medicine for the next three years.
In 2002, I changed my major from medicine to business and graduated with a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting. I did accounting for about a month for a Chicago consulting firm before I decided accounting was not for me. er Forensics - North America, I investigated computer-based fraud and helped apprehend many people trying to steal money from the bank and people attempting to commit identity theft.
Currently, I am working on a second master's degree from MSU in Criminal Justice and a certificate program in Forensic Science from Northwestern University.
I have been happily married to Natalie Neczwid Gottschalk since June 2004. Natalie and I met at MSU during my freshman year. She graduated from MSU with degrees in Journalism and Business. In 2007, she graduated from the Chicago-Kent College of Law and now works as a law clerk for a judge in the commercial division of the State of Illinois court system.
