After graduating from high school I went to the Art Institute of Chicago'™s Goodman Theatre School (and one year at the University of Wyoming to get some basic courses) where I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theater. I was drafted into the U.S. Army 6 days after graduating. I made sergeant in about 6 months and then went to Officer Candidate School becoming a second lieutenant and married the former Susan Everett from Scottsbluff, NE. I returned from my first tour in Germany as a captain with a son, Scott and a daughter, Michelle. I went through helicopter flight school and then to Viet Nam where I was shot down four times medevac'd to the states after the last one. After a 2 year tour at Fort Bragg, NC (where I added my daughter, Danielle to the family) I transferred to Fort Hood, TX. I was sent to Zaire in Africa as a military attache for 2 ½ years.
