Jay's Story

From 1969 to 1979 I lived in the Lonesome Pines subdivision on Tibbetts Dr. off Powers. The Russo's lived next door, the Stone's up four doors and the Hellwigs just up the street. The Westphals were directly across from me. My best friend was Kevin Hellwig, whom I cannot locate these days. I am also looking for Kelly Crews, Cindy&Cathy Holland, Chris Baker and Brian Westphal. I moved to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina in 1979/80 and got a auditor job at the Hyatt hotel with the help from Bobby Dodge. I lived on HH IS for 16 years then bought a home on the mainland in Bluffton where my wife Patti and I are still here today. I left the hotel business 2 years after and went into landscaping for 25 years. ountless doctor visits for inoperable lower spine injuries I have been disabled since early 2006. I have a pain management implant device (pain pump) its been in me for just over five years now. I have been busy drawing, designing, carving anything that involves fish. You can google "Fish Art" to find me. I look forward to hearing from anyone who knew me. Thank you, Jay I always wanted to be a artist when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right. When life slams the doors in my face, I write my thoughts through poems. I love to collect and buy coins! I love to write to the editor of our local newspaper. If I won $100 million, I'd give 10 million of it to humane society, then spend the rest on realestate, precious metals and travel. My first job was at York Steak House, where I got paid $1.85 to peel potatoes. What I remember most about it is I enjoyed it!. When my dad and I caught two large mouth bass that were almost identical in weight and length.
