Jay's Story
Life
From 1976 to 1979 I worked at various factories including General Battery Corp and Evans Grain Co. From 1979 -1980 I worked at Cessna building aircraft. From 1980-1983 I worked at Lockheed "Skunkworks" in Burbank CA on military aircraft. I joined the USAF in 1983 and have been stationed at Bolling AFB (Wash DC) 1983-1986, Los Angeles AFB CA 1986-1993, Peterson AFB CO 1993-1995, Osan AB Korea 1995-1996, Schriever AFB CO 1996-2005. I have retired this year as a MSgt with 22 and 1/2 years in and started a government job (GS08) with the Army at Ft Carson CO. my Bachelors degree in Business Administration. I received my Associates Degree in Financial Management in 1990 and actually have 189 full credits amassed but not at same college so I have to do 11 classes at CTU to meet residency requirements. I am also active in the local community serving with the Civil Air Patrol as a Squadron Commander for the last four and 1/2 years. My squadron has 75 cadets and 21 seniors so this is a big job. I have attained the rank of Major in the CAP and have completed all requirements to pin on LtCol except the 4 year time in grade as a Major. My hobbies are collecting books and coins and I am a gun enthusiast. I have 5 handguns and 2 rifles which I take to the range on a regular basis.
