Loren "Jay"'s Story

Life I am currently married and have a 24 year old son serving proudly in the United States Air Force. I have a daughter (Emma Jae) who was born on October 20, 2005. I can't believe I did it all again at 43 years of age. I work for Penta Building Group in Reno, Nevada. I have been in Reno only since August 1, 2007 and previously lived in Las Vegas since 1993 and remained there after my retirement from the Air Force in April 1999. School I attended Ellis Elementary in Centerline Michigan until 1972. I moved to Twin Falls Idaho where I attended Bickel Elementary, O'Leary Jr. High School, and Twin Falls High School. erkley Regional Insurance for five years. I then worked for Steel Engineers Inc., as the Safety Director for a year until I found my dream job with the PENTA Building Group. Military I entered the Air Force in 1979. I served from 1979-1981 at Eielson AFB, Alaska as a Fire Fighter in the 5010th Civil Engineering Squadron. From 1981 to 1985, I served at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, New Mexico as a Firefighter and Fire Inpsector. I retrained in 1985 into Flight Operation where I worked at a the 1550 CCTW as both a Training and Operations NCOIC of the 1551 FTS, 1550 FTS, and the 1550 CCTW until 1993. I was transferred to Nellis AFB, Las Vegas, Nevada from 1993 where I retired in 1999. Assignments at Nellis included the 57th USAF Weapons School, 66 RQS, 561 FTS, 549 CTS,and the 422 TES.
