Jay Russell's Story

I graduated from West Junior in 1966, I was on crutches during that time, I started 1967 at Alton High and attended classes for about two weeks, we moved to Grafton and I switch to Jerseyville high, we moved several times that year, I switched to East Pike high up in pike county and then to Winchester high. We finally settled down in Moro Il and I went to Edwardsville high. I graduated in 1969 and enlisted into the Army that summer. I stayed in until March 1976 when I got out and started my life all over again. I bought a Peterbuilt and travelled the roads until 1981, I started my college at Lewis and Clark, I spent several years there getting two associate degrees, one in Science and one in app...Expand for more
lied science, Bascially business and construction management. I got into the US Army Corps of Engineers through a cooperative program, I piloted this as the first one through the program. I was hired at Rock Island Arsenal, and now I am twenty six years with them and am stationed at Fort Campbell Ky. I have been riding a Harley since I went into the army I bought my first one in 1972 while stationed in Eurpoe. I have had one ever since. I love the open road, The feel of the wind and the power in my hands. I came to Fort Campbell in 1999, January, Been to many places domestically and overseas I love to travel. I live in a small Tennessee town called Bumpus Mills, close to the shores of Lake Barkley.
