Jay's Story
Life
Following graduation I taught school 1 year in Humboldt and 2 years at EDS in Jackson. In 1977 I married Jenny Hales (of Nashville) whom I met at Evangelical Community Church in Jackson. I started Mid-South Computers in Jackson in 1981. We moved to Franklin, TN in 1989 where we have lived since. Sold my half of Mid-South computers in 1991. We have 3 children - Bryan (82), Patty (85) and Thomas (88) - all red heads!!! Yes, there mother has red hair. June 2000, I was hired as the National Sales Manager for HME for QS/1 Data Systems headquartered in South Carolina where I still work.
Activities:
We are active members at Parish Presbyterian Church (PCA) in Franlin. Since 1998 I have hearned my private pilot's license, am ASA certified to sail boats upto 50' and have an open water scuba diving certification.
Bryan has been in the Air Force since May 2005 where he serves as a navigator on C130 cargo plane. He is about to complete his second tour in the Middle East. Bryan married to Katie Shore, his high school sweet heart September 30, 2006. He and Katie are expecting their first child in October. Bryan is also a certified open water scuba diver and holds a private pilot, instrument, commercial and multi-engine airplane ratings.
Patty got married May 27, 2006 in a beach wedding at Inlet Beach near Sea Side, Florida to Micah Moyers of Sikeston, MO. Patty just graduated from Union Universtiy with a BS in Social Work. Patty & Micah are planning on moving to England in early 2009. Patty loves photography and cooking. Patty also is a certified scuba diver (we learned together) and is also ASA certified to sail boats upto 50'.

Jenny continues as he librarian at New Hope Academy a small christian elementary school and is the food service coordinator at Christ Community church.
School
Played football all 3 years years at JCM. Member of Phi Kappa fraternity and was president my senior year. Became involved with Young Life my junior year in high school. This lead me to becoming a Christian at YL camp in Colorado in July 1975. Served as presidnet of YL my senior year. Dated Vicki Green most of my senior year in high school and during my freshman year in college.
College
Went to Lambuth College from September 1972 until December 1973.Dated Jean Hamilton (Jackson Northside 73 / UTM - 77). Transfered to UTM in January 1974. Lived all 3 years in Ellington Hall. Actively involved with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship and was president my senior year. I graduated 1976 with BS in education.
Workplace
After college I taught school for 3 years - 1 in Humboldt and 2 years teaching math and science at EDS (now part of USJ). I then worked for 4 years as the Data Services director at the West Tennessee Health Improvement Association, a health planning agency. I then started my own computer business - Mid-South Computers in 1981. We purchased a second computer location in 1989 in Nashville and I moved to Franklin, TN to manage that location. In 1992 I sold out my half of the business and started Healthcare Consultants of America which provided software to doctors, dentists, chiropractors and home medical equipment (HME) businesses. By 1998 I was dealing exclusively with HME software. In 2000 I took a job the National Sales Manager for HME at QS/1 Data Systems out of Spartanburg, SC. QS/1 is a $90M+ division of a $2.2 billion dollar corporation that provides software and hardware to pharmacies and HME businesses.
