Life A year after high school I moved to center city Philadelphia to attend the University of the Arts where I graduated in 1987 with a BFA in Graphic Design. I had a design job in the city 6 months before I graduated, so decided to stay (and not move home). I met my future husband around that time - he was a roadie for Electric Factory Concerts. We moved out to the burbs' together in 1989 and were eventually married memorial day weekend, 1990. Our first child was born in November 1991 (a daughter Lauren), the second came in March 1994 (a son Danny) and my youngest was born in April 1999 (another son Jesse). While my first two kids were young, I worked from home as a freelance graphic designer. Once the oldest was ready for kindergarten, I decided to jump back into the work force as an art director at a biomaterials company in Malvern, PA where I worked for 8 years. Wanting to get out of corporate and into a more creative, studio environment I worked as an art director at Miller Designworks doing graphic design for clients such as SunGard, CertainTeed, J&J, and many other local businesses.
