Jean's Story
I was at Nakoma for 2 years while my dad finished his PhD (he couldn't do ergonomics in England at the time.)
I was in Grade 1 and Grade 2 with people such as Pam Vanderlin, Amy Bloomenfeld, Steve Kanner, Chuck ?, Greg ?,.... If I remember any more names or find them anywhere I'll put some more on here.
The last time I was in Madison must be nearly 30 years ago. I managed to catch up with a couple of people then, which was great. I would love to hear from anyone who knew me.
After Nakoma I returned to England. I finished school and went to university where I got a BSc degree in Biology and Computer Science. I worked for a year then travelled for a year and then continued working in IT until Christmas 1999 when I was expecting my son.

am a full-time carer for both my son and my father, who had a major stroke in 2004. I've forgotten what "having a life" was like and as for "getting" one I haven't a chance at the moment.
If I had any spare time I would play my guitar, sing, repair furniture and books, make jewellery and paint. At the time of writing this I have spent a relaxed weekend being reminded of what "a life" might be like... I took my dog to a swimming (water rescue) club on Saturday and then to an amateur dog show on Sunday.
I still live in England, although I may be visiting the States again sometime in the next couple of years. My ex-husband lives over there and wants me to bring our son out to visit him over there rather than him have to come over here.
That's the bare bones up to August 2008. Lots of details left out but it's late and I have to walk the dog.
