Jeanene's Story
Life
the PAST: You might have known me in California, Payson, Phoenix, Tempe or Arlington. I was always the red-haired daughter of the Baptist preacher. I loved foursquare, Barbies, friends, spelling, volleyball, yogurt, friends, school art, driving, friends and singing.
the PRESENT: I am happily married and living in Tucson, AZ with my husband Martin and our four children, Sally (1984), Joseph (1988), Jeffrey (1992), and Chrissy (2001).
*piece of advice: NEVER name your same-sex children alliterative names.
I married Martin in 1979 and can't believe I've been married 25 years. That is beyond my comprehension. We are foster parents and I care for tiny newborn babies straight from the hospital. I keep them until they are adopted or returned to their birth mom. I LOVE doing it and can't imagine a better life. We have now had 103 chil...Expand for more
dren in our home! I enjoy singing very much and am involved in the worship team at our church. I have always had a nice low alto voice and harmonized naturally, so now I can use my talents.

School
I loved school and so I remember most of my teachers pretty clearly. I have an enduring fondness for Mr. John Watson - 6th grade, Mrs. Watje - 3rd grade, and Mr Berg - HS principal.
College
College days for me always started with a 7am class. I HATED my alarm clock!
I regret not finishing college, but at the time, Martin was more important to me. I could finish now, but why? I have no desire for that degree anyway.
I would like to be a doctor, a physician's assistant or a nurse practitioner when I grow up.
