Jeanette's Story

Life Hey, maybe you wondered what ever happen to me? I enjoyed being a big part of my class and all the activities. I really liked being active in Silver Creek High School, Home of the Black Knights. I had to leave and venture out on my own. I had to find myself a safe place to live and I worked at Mc Donalds. Years later I am still as active and involved. I like being determined. I have seven children who made it easy for me to mature and choose family first. They mean the most to me in life. I have 5 girls Christeina Victoria, Julia Kathleen, Janelle Elizabeth,Jaylah Marie and Joy Leighla. I have two boys who everyone thinks are twins Jessie Merrell and Jaymie Myrell.I have two step children Stephanie and Michael and an awesome husband Jim, and that means for all the bad and good. At this time we have 9 is enough, This is the year 2009 of 999 which means save our children it is the reverse the curse year. 999 is the opposite of 666, mark of the beast, the only way to defeat evil, is train your children to know the saving power of the blood of Jesus Christ, who lived and walked the earth for one reason to save us from eternal death. Try Him, He saved me from myself My kids and I were called the "hollywood children" at Disneyland, CA Oct 2001 and performed for the sets. It was real life though not a magical show. I am a member of Grove City Church of Nazarene, Columbus, Ohio. It seats 3500 people. I spent 5 years in a Judaeo/Christian private school and obtained my B.S.N in nursing. I graduated from Franklin University here in Columbus, Ohio, where I live with a B.S. in EAP-Counseling. I consult full time at Mount Carmel Hospital as a medical/surgical nurse and at the Buckeye Ranch, residential treatment for adolescents with psyche/mental health needs I also volunteer for the pregnancy Decision Health Centers-offering free counseling, preg tests, ultrasounds. I am active in the Federal program called HeadStart that helps preschoolers academically and socially prepare for school. I worked closely with Jo Bostic, who worked for 26 years for HeadStart, retired and died right after of cancer. There is a building now dedicated in her name, the Bostic Center that serves preschoolers. My husband was involved with Valour Christian Fellowship which offers transitional housing and compassion to those with addictions. He currently is separated from us. Hope other's become members at classmates. It is cool to hear from you. It would be interesting to see how alive you are? Take care and remember you are a special person. smile.... P.S. My sister Jamiette Elwell- Heckathorn grad 93 (her last words are on here under her profile)lived in the Chautaugua County Home in Dunkirk, NY. she was in a coma since her severe car accident 6-21-02 and needed your prayers for a brian miracle to walk and talk again. As of October 12, 2008 my sister Jamiette died and funeral was in Silver Creek. She was 33 years old. She was the reason I started Cossin Recovery Ministries. On the worldwide web cossinrecovery dot com And 1 year after her accident, my husband relapsed and he furthered the identity of recovery as a necessity for quality of life. As long as we are living here, we got to make a difference. Jamiette's fragile life brought healing, reconciliation and the reality how short and precious life is. I spent 6 years caring for her as if she was still a person despite her disabilities. I thank God for teaching me through her living example. She was the only one in our family that never gave up, she stayed in her state for us, never thinking of herself. She laid her life down so her family could be saved and brought back into right fellowship. She paid the ultimate cost and lived her short life in service to love others. Next to Jesus-she is my hero and I will see her soon. Life is short take time to know and committ to the one that has power over life and death. Our efforts for the ministry are now to help other hurting families. Thanks for all those who helped and prayed. Cyrus her son and Bob her husband mean a lot to me. my brother Dale and his wife Melissa have two really handsome, intelligent boys and own Hanover Convienence store in Silver Creek,NY my sister Juliette and husband Dwayne have two miracle children who were born premature but living a wonderfullife, and building a mansion in Irving, NY, my si...Expand for more
ster Jayette married Steve Hosmer 6-12-04 and had her first child Sophia 8-9-08, who I had the honor to care for at 6-8 weeks old so JJ could go back to work, it happened to be the same time I cared for Jamiette 2 weeks before she died and Janette married Willie Kaminski on May 7, 2005. My first husband Matthew Smith's sister Janean died in a tragic house fire 8-2005 while saving her children in Buffalo, NY. She also has been an inspiration in laying her life down for others to be saved. She refused to leave the house until all others were out, saving them and sacrificing her own life 8-2005 Buffalo News. My oldest daughter Christeina, Matt's daughter just married a marine and moved to North Carolina 2-2009..My parents Roger and Kathleen are still together, which is a miracle in our culture today, and live as grandparents of 14 children now and 1/2 of them are MINE!! I am the only one who does not live in western New York with my family. School I am looking for my cousin David James Lambert who was adopted when he was born 1979 in California. His mom Patricia Mc Coy died 4-2005. He has a half sister Trish Palmer who said he went to Cardiff by the Sea Schools. Please let us know you if you read this. jeanetteelwell at aol dot com. I recently found Renae Elwell, my cousin's daughter on Facebook. How do you blow off steam? Describe your favorite way to relax First, I talk and say how upset I am then I look at someone whose burdens are heavier than mine, like jamiette who could not walk or talk, then I thanked God that I could walk and talk, or someone behind bars without freedom, then I visited them, give people food, because than I thanked God I had means and arms to feed myself, thought of all my athiest friends who attacked me instead of life issues then I thanked God for love and joy He gave me. What's the wildest thing you ever did in school? Drove Kelly Mahaneys car in a rain storm as the only one not drinking, with a bunch of us teens joy riding, crashed and damaged someone's property and tree and took off. Later got pulled over by cops and put myself to shame by the hit and run. Got a speeding ticket and gave the cop my sister Julie's name. I had a suspended license and did not want to go to jail, so my sister put me in jail from her for many years. I didn't know what's worse. Losing her or spending time in jail until someone picked me up. I now know I would rather spend a day in jail till picked up than lose her faith in me for years. dressed up like some Halloween blackness demon and made my foster brother, Kevin run around my school like a dog on a chain Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. What's been your biggest surprise? My baby sister dying before me, she was a flower and I wasn't. Parent? Share what you've learned from your kids. Patience, self sacrifice and everything I teach them they hold me to it, so accountability What about you would surprise everyone at your high school reunion? I have 7 kids and I am still not that big as they say, usually pregnancy, being a woman and age puts weight on your flesh. People always make that comment, how do you do 7 kids, did you adopt and you look that skinny? they say Share a childhood memory you'll never forget. My brother was always trauma destined. he had a 2 inch splinter and grandpa wesley got it out of his hand with a needle when I was 8, a tow chain tore his hand and arm up in front of my face in NY 1984, he was born on one of the worst earthquakes in California 2-9-71, as the earthquake was happening my dad was holding me and I just turned one years old and was fearful, he has been struck by lightning twice and one time the bolt went out his knee into the grass. I could never say l's so I called him baby boy instead of DALE, my dad always yelled and lectured him, instead of saying good job to me,His friends always liked me and we played sports, we always faught until he flipped me into a pit in Battleground, Washington gorge at Pauline and Charlie Elwell's home, 1981. I finally discovered he was getting stronger than me. He is my only brother. Another memory-I had pneumonia in 1978 and almost died, but got out of hospital right before jamiette's birthday party 5-5-78, she had a pinata because we lived in California and cinco de mayo is her birthday. (jamiette died of aspiration pnemonia 10-12-08)
