My life in a nutshell: After graduating from high school, I married the love of my life, Benjamin "Frank" Phillips on 7 June 1969. When we met, I was employed by the U. S. Government where Frank was serving a tour of duty with the U. S. Navy at the Great Lakes Naval Station, Great Lakes, Illinois. Frank went on to continue his naval career while I continued working with the Government in each of our new duty stations until his retirement from the Navy. We then settled in Lake Villa, Illinois. I contined with my Government career which ended at the Naval Hospital Great Lakes, Illinois, while Frank accepted a position with the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago and worked his way up to Director for Senior Community Services of Lake County, Illinois. I retired from Civil Service after 35 years in September 2003, and Frank retired from Catholic Charities in September 2006.
