Life 01/2012 Well here we are again. another yr gone by. And the roller coaster ride continues. My little one is now 6 and in kindergarten and the grand-baby is 3. In Sept. 2011 I had to place my mother in law into a nursing home. She hasnt had good health since the fire and the cirrhosis of the liver has taken over. I visit with her everyday and make sure she is being taken care of properly. Im still a stay at home mom and working hard on the PTA board. Kurts still at the same job hes worked for for 14 yrs now. Kurt and I will be celebrating 29 yrs of wedded bliss this yr. Time flies. Seems almost like yesterday when we all were in grandmas backyard and Kurt and I got married. July 2011 I developed some thyroid problems. We're still working on getting that in order. Moms been gone for a little over a yr now and I truly do miss her. Everyday I find myself wanting to pick up the phone and tell her about my day. Its been hard not having her there on the other end of the line. I guess now Im the Matriarch of the family. Till next time. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life 04/2011 Well its been a roller coaster ride over the last yr or so. Mom got sick right after Easter 2010. She was in and out of the hospital for 8 months. Mostly in. I think she spent about 20 days home, a few days here, a few days there, those whole 8 months. She passed away in Dec. 2010. In Feb. 2011. My mother in laws home burned down. Complete loss. My daughter and at the time, fiance and grandbaby, were staying with her till they got into their new place. They were set to get married 2 weeks before the fire. Well needless to say. With all the deposits that we had out there that were non-refundable, we went on with the wedding. It was crazy. Our wedding planner got extremely ill about 3 weeks before the wedding. The DJ over booked and cancelled on us and the wedding planner was in charge of the food. I had to scramble and find a caterer. But they tied the knot March 5, 2011. It was a beautiful ceremony. My kids are now 27 (OUCH!), 24 and 5. My oldest is still at home and still at Urestis. My daughter, as I said before, is now married. And my 5 yr old is finishing Pre-K. He just won first place in the school bicycle rodeo. My grandaughter is now 2. Aw yes, the TERRIBLE TWOS! Kurt and I are still together. We'll be celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary this yr. Im still a stay at home mom. I do alot of volunteering at the school and am on the PTA board. So that keeps me really busy. Kurts still at the same job. All my contact info frm previous posts are the same. You can still get in contact with me at grandmas old house. My moms husband is still residing there even though moms gone.
