Jeanette's Story
Life
Hello fellow classmates!!
Wow, has alot happened in the almost 37 years. (WOW did I say almost 37 yrs???)
First of all I have 2 children now-
Sabrina- who will be 30! (oct 1983) and Trevor who will 17 (june 1996) and I am a "three time Grandma" already!!
I have been keeping very busy, with getting more and more educated (who would of thought that, being I hated school back then??)
I have 2 Associates Degrees- One in Mechanical Engineering (drafting) and One in Auto-Body Design.
I graduated with my Bachelors of the Arts- Education and fully certified to teach now! (2003) and got my Masters Degree at CMU in 2008.
In spite of (well maybe because of) all my education I have YET to get a decent paying job,,,I am working as a sub teacher and have been for the past 4 school years,,,this saddens me and worries me,,,as I am not a young thing anymore and worry I will have nothing to live in my so called golden years.

UPDATE: I recently took the plunge and moved to Saugatuck MI,,,I have my art for show and sale in a local gallery,,,,hoping to get more in a few others as well.

College
What can I say- after High School I played, lived on my own- come into the 80's and finally decided to get a college degree-
I attended Kirtland Community College and graduated in 1985 with my Associates degree in Drafting and Design. I worked in the field as a designer for about 7 yrs and decided I needed to take computer to update my skills, I ended up getting another degree, this time in AutoBody Design at Macomb Community College. I continued to work in the engineering field for a few more years, ended up teaching an Auto CAD class for a year, liked the teaching aspect of it and returned again to school, this time to get my Bachelors Degree in Education- 2003! I didnt, however get it in technical ed, but went back to my very first love ART! (thanks Mr Enger!!) So I am now a fully certified art teacher for k-12 grades. I am currently graduated with my Masters of the Arts- Humanities degree in May 2008!
Workplace
working as a sub teacher. Been applying to work overseas, in countries such as Germany, China, Saudi Arabia, England as well as the Caribbean! Our country isnt wanting to support me, so might as well leave and work elsewhere,,,,you know what I mean.
