Hello Everybody, I grew up in Temple Hills, MD. I went to Samuel Chase Elementary K-6 1968-1975, then on to John Hansen Jr. High in Oxon Hill for 7-9th grade. Wow I got to ride the bus to school everyday. Then onto Potomac High in Oxon Hill for 10th grade from 1978 - 1979. That summer I got my driver's license and my Mom asked me to drive to Florida. I did not think twice! For 11th grade I went to Ely High in Pompano Beach, FL . . . I was bored, had enough credit to graduate but guidance counselors helped me with a grant to go to Broward County Community College in Coconut Creek, FL. I still graduated with my class but was able to go to college instead of high school. Pretty Neat! So you see my last 4 years of high school I was able to go to 4, yes FOUR different schools. Although interesting, sometimes difficult. I met my husband where I was working at a hospital part-time. I was married in 1982, had my son Christopher in 1986, divorced in 1987. My ex "the worm" was one of those dead-beat Dad's. Not an honest bone in his body. Lying, Cheating, Stealing, only paid child support the day before court(2 weeks)then we'd go another 6months without. This went on for years. My ex left my son and I without running water, electric, and no $ in bank. He stole everything because he did not want any parental responsibilities. Cut to the chase, he was cheating - "the worm". Letting go abit there, whew..that felt good. I have always loved cars . . .learning about them or racing them. I am certified in FORD Warranty have done everything except turn the wrench. I am a NASCAR fan all the way, been watching since I was little with my Dad. My Mom was always eager to get out of the house shopping or something. It was great, my Dad and I had the television all to ourselves. I have owned 2 condominiums and 1 house. In 2002, was laid off my job, so I sold my condo & moved to Highlands County, FL in the middle of the state. (approx 1 hour north of Lake Okeechobee). Had I known the Real Estate market in south Florida was going to go sky high I would have rented out my condo. It was 2 bdrm, 2 fullbath overlooking golfcourse. I only lost about 150K on that deal. Oh well. Highlands County was in the middle of nothing. The local movie theatre movies were 3 yrs old. The big thrill was Walmart and renting a video from the grocery store Albertsons. That just didn't cut it. NO Work. While in Highlands county I had to clean houses to make $$$. Believe it or not, some of the older men tried to use housecleaning as a way to get a date. Housecleaning Hooker??? I don't think so!!! Highlands County was featured in National Geographic magazine as still having a "cat house" in the year 2000. I had to get out of there!!!!! But my car broke down and so, I moved in with my grandmother (still here age 86 this yr). W...Expand for more
