Jeanie's Story

I hope that my old friends remember that I loved to laugh and flirt. I always wanted to be married when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a bad idea. As it turns out, they were right. I like to read and garden. It helps me to relax. I did a lot of wild things in school. I had a really smart mouth, and I got in trouble a lot....spankings, expelled.... If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have a good personality,a good sense of humor, and lots of prayers to be able to deal with the day-to-day problems. My English teachers, Mrs. Peters and Mr. Poe were an inspiration to me; and now it is my Christian friends, and of course, the my God. I lived in Seymore, TX, and I hated it. I live way out in the country now, out by Second Crossing Buffalo, and I love it. The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Jane Whiting, because she was not only my best friend, but she was like a sister to me. Books, books, and more books are my obsession. Life's biggest surprise was my divorce after being married for 28 years...husband found young girl, 15 years younger, and got her pg. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the whole house, and add on a another bathroom and more closets. My dream home would be a log cabin. I learned from my kids to be more patient. I would love to see Mr. Poe, and thank him for inspiring me to be an English teacher. If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to my friends and charities, then spend the rest on my husband, dorm. I commuted back and forth to college. I had a husband and 2 kid...Expand for more
s to take care of full time. To be truly happy I would be with the man I am with now and doing what I am doing now, but I wished I was not in so much pain....Fibromyalgia. My current age is 65. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely wrong. No career aspirations...retired. I had too many crushes on boys to remember my first crush. My best friend would tell you I'm fun, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as shy. I have always loved clothes, bright colors, and differnt styles. Weirdst job I ever had was a payroll accountant. I can barely add or subtract. I share my home with my dogs, which I find neat. I am a very good artist. I have my paintings on the wall.If I could do something different it would be not to get married so young. . In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by praying. My oldest friend was in my class. She was fun, and always ready to do something wild that I had thought up in the spare of the moment. I think everyone at my reunion are still sursprised that I became a teacher. My first job was at construction site, where I got paid very little to make the payroll out. What I remember most about it is the boss could not keep his hands to himself. I quit the job really fast. One of the childhood memories I will never forget was when I climbed the water tower when I was in the second grade. I hope my old friends remember about me was that I had a good sense of human, and I was kind. I always marched to a differnt drum than everyone else.
