Hello everyone!
I've been doing well. I married a man almost 18 years my senior, so I've got a really large family: 4 stepdaughters(ages 38-37-33-29), three step son-in-laws, 3 children of my own (16,13,& 8) and EIGHT grandsons, from 18 down to 12!!!I imagine I'll be a great-grandmother one of these days, probably fairly soon.
We moved to Monticello, IN 4 years ago (you know it - Indiana Beach?!) and I love it here!
I would love to hear from someone whenever there's a reunion planned, ok?
Update 6/21/06:Still living in Monticello, still married to the same man (who is now a senior citizen!!!) still have 4 stepdaughters & 3 kids (who are now 21,18 & 13): now I have 11 grandkids - 23yrs down to 6 months. The youngest grandchild is actually MY grandchild (not a step); my 18 yr old son is a daddy. Don't I feel old!!!
I worked for 2 yrs in a dance studio - one of my true passions - but that has come to an end & I'm back working in the Merchandising field again.
I had hoped to come to a reunion (which I see is planned for this year) but my husband is pretty ill, & we will probably not be able...Expand for more
to make the trip. :( Enjoy yourselves & think of those of us who didn't make it there!!!
Update: 9/21/07
Sadly, I am now a widow. My husband passed away last November. He suffered long enough; it's for the best for him, but selfishly, I wasn't ready for "widowhood" or "single-parenthood". But we play with the hand we are dealt...
My oldest daughter is getting married in 8 days. Who could have imagined life could move so quickly!
Well, I wish everyone well, & I will update again as things change.
Update: 1/29/09
Well, it's been a little over a year since I last updated. Since then I Have become a grandmother yet again! That makes 12 of them! And number 13 is on the way! My son became a daddy again this past June, and my oldest daughter, who got married last year just found out she is expecting in September.
And I realized that I never updated the great-grandchild count. I'm up to 5 of them!
My biggest regret of it all is that my husband isn't here to enjoy them all with me. He loved children so much and would have been so proud and so happy to have been blessed with all these babies!!!
