Jeanne Flaherty:  

My last name is now Flaherty. Happily married to The Love of My Life. We have seven children between us. I have three daughters, each has a 4 year old daughter and husband. They are all executive professionals. Jack has three daughters and a son. One daughter is married, with a son who is 9. Jack is from a huge Irish family which I enjoy immensely. I lucked out with the best in laws. I am a retired RN with degrees in Nursing, Public Health and graduated from Stanford January 2021 with a Certificate in Healthcare Communication. I have written patient teaching materials and am now qualified to design Public Health Outreach Programs, if I feel the urge to work in retirement. (it segues with my husband’s work) I was until recently a part time Freelance Travel Writer, mostly for women’s travel magazines. I traveled about 20-25% of each year. I enjoyed the experience of travel writing until treasured editors retired and the young ones who lacked actual travel experience, lacked cultural sensitivity and emotional maturity made the experience undesirable. Now, It's much nicer to travel to learn and explore things which interest me rather than what may appeal to the masses.
