Jeanne's Story
It's hard to believe that I was very shy in high school. It's equally hard to believe that I still am. However, the "real me" loves to try new things. I can't sit still for more than 5 minutes. I must have adventure! I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Business at Alverno while working full time, graduating in December 1992. I don't think it made me any smarter--but I enjoyed every minute of learning, especially the "arts" portion. I have a fondness for theater, musicals, and music of all types.
Music is my happy place. My favorite is still the music of our time, the golden oldies of the 60s. Broadway takes a close 2nd. Can't name a favorite, because there are so many out there. I do love the music from Les Miserables and The Phantom of the Opera. Wish I could carry a...Expand for more
tune, but I sing out loud to my favorite songs nonetheless. Anything piano is on my top 10 list.
I prefer warmth and sunshine and lived in Florida for many years. I moved back to Wisconsin to spend time with loved ones fighting cancer. Never say never, but I doubt I'll move south again.
I love to try new things, and I can say that I have had a lot of fun and enjoyed my life. A LOT of fun! Regrets? Of course. Do I lose sleep over them? No. I do need excitement and people in my life. There is no substitute for a good friend, a good time, good music, and appreciation of what one already has.
My bucket list? To see anyone who is reading this - sooner rather than later! A wise man said, "Sometimes later becomes never." Enjoy every day because tomorrow isn't promised.
