ille High School for one yr., before getting my degree in middle grades education. I then taught seventh & eighth grade at AS Clark Middle School in Cordele for 9 yrs. In 1991, I married Buddy Rogers, the love of my life. He was clerk of court in Treutlen Co., & I met him through my mom, who was clerk of court in Crisp Co. (Yep, my mother found me a boyfriend!) I taught at Treutlen High School from '91-'95, and then moved to the newly-created middle school, where I have remained while teaching 7th & 8th graders. In July, 2008, my husband was reelected to his seventh consecutive term, and then succumbed to cancer in March, 2009. The '11-'12 school yr. was my 30th yr. in the teaching profession, and I retired on 11/30/12. I love living in a small town and have a loving, supportive family here, as well as many wonderful friends. I live on 36 acres in the country with my dogs, who are all intelligent and quite talkative!".
