Jeannine's Story
Life
I married my best friend, we meet almost 9 years ago, in all places the police academy. We have two children, Ashley (17) and Jessie (12) and 2 dogs. We live the quiet suburbia life, or as much as you can when you are both police officers. (poor kids)
College
Joyride... need I say more? Not a social work exam was taken with out an all nighter attached, it seemed they nevered helped much though! ~Bert
"You can't drive on the sidewalks.." As freshmen there were a few of us (PeriAnn, Janet...) on the Homecoming committee that thought the cars they let us drive in the parade were ours for the night. So, we took the Mazda Miata for a ride on the campus, sid...Expand for more
ewalks and all, until NMU police stopped us and told us the sidewalks were not for us to drive on. Like we didn't already know that, duh?!
Workplace
I have had a variety of jobs over the past 12 years... owned a day care, worked home health care (yuck), JcPenney, Sexual Assault Services Coordinator, Prevention Specialist in Schools, but the most fun I have had thus far is being a police officer. All of my life experiences have prepared me for this one.
Although, I am preparing for retirement, I can't wear a gun belt in my 50s! SO, I am going back to school for my masters in counseling, the goal is to be the counselor for the cops... because only we understand.
