Jed's Story
I am interested in Wedgewood Elementary Photos from 1964 to 1971. Don't remember many names, but would like to see if there are any classmates that remember me or the same teachers, classes. Kindergaden was Blythe, 1st was Lucas, 4th was Price. I have some full class photos with no names and I am willing to share photos.
I lived two blocks from the Wedgewood Elementary on 88th and 30th which runs right by the schools E side of the school. My grade school photo is from 4th grade.
6th grade I went to Northgate Christian school, then Jane addams Jr high for 7th, and then the rest of 7th, 8th and 9th at Kellogg Jr High in Lake Forest Park and finally Shorecrest High for 10, 11, and 12. Graduated in 77.
My hobbies have in the past been and continue to be watch and clock restoration, music, minor travel, car and custom motorcycle building. One of my creations is shown in my album along with one of my first bikes that I purchased new in 1977. I remember buying that bike, picking it up from the dealer and riding it to school for the first time. Remember how we used to oil the entry ramp to the north parking lot? Welll! The custodians tried to keep up with it by laying down kitty litter and I guess I knew that. So on my shiny new bike and with my brother Jac on the back seat, we drove up the ramp just fine that fine sunny day, but when we reached the top of the ramp, I turned that little left at the top and my front wheel went out and we dumped my bike in some oil. myself, that fine sunny day. It was a proud moment I must say. I can imagine the dealer rolling his eyes when I brought it back on the hook of a wrecker the same day I picked it up. A proud moment indeed!
Other hobbies include the love of animals, wood and metal working, cooking, and travel, though I have not done a lot. Hope to do a little more, especially inside the US now that I am closer to the East side of the country.
Moving out to northern Ohio with a moving van and driving my truck while towing a trailer, motorcycle attached, I had to pass by Mount Rushmore and a few other sites while not having time to stop. I did however stop at Little Big horn briefly (Custers last stand). Now that I am free of a job, I want to see some more historic US locations.
I mis Seattle, but not the traffic and waiting in lines for everything.
Out here I live in the small town of Delta where you can see each end of the towns main street, just as you can in most all the many small towns out here. Surrounded with homes built in the early 1900's and you drive through corn fields and farms everywhere.
People are real and you can buy food off the family farm stands. There are large grocery chains like Kroeger(QFC) out here and also some smaller groceries. I even found a gas station where a kid came out to pump your gas, though that is un common. It is really neat to hop on the bike with other riders around here and go drive in the country. Very flat terrain though which is nice when it snows. Very clean and maintained roads.
