Hmmm
2005.....I've traveled lots from Australia to all 48 states; Australia to be with my daughter and the 48 with my job. I just started my own business and can't call in sick anymore 'cause I'll know I'm lying. I'm still surfing but get to my feet a little bit slower these days and I took up snowboarding last winter with my daughter. I take December off with my daughter, Tiara, for winter fun during her visit to America. My outlook on life is un-ending optimism and would love to hear back from some of the old crowd; schoolmates, friends, surf-buddies, party-pals, etc. I've recently met the girl of my dreams......Jef
2007.....Tiara has graduated high school & is now at university. I'm off to Japan later this year to spend some quality time with my fiancee. I'm now local in Coronado,CA to help out with ma & pa. I just turned 50 in January and have lost 30lbs since then. I'm walking everyday and using the gym. I figure I had better get the body tuned up for the next 50yrs of my life. I hope to see more alumni and friends at the 40yr. reunion. Drop me an email and let me know you are out there.......Jef
2008.....Well, not many changes this year. Tiara is in Scotland attending university and, by default, that means I'm still WORKING!! ALOT!! My truck is running great and I'm still in the family home in Coronado, CA with ma, pa and brother Kevin. the folks have the lower unit and me and kev are upstairs. i'm thinking of getting a 30-40 foot sailboat to liveaboard at the Coronado Island side anchorage near the San Diego Bay Bridge. A $30,000 investment and $150/month gets you a home on the water in Coronado. The waiting list is 2-3yrs. so let's see what happens when my name is drawn. I think it would be cool having to row a dinghy to my home. It's amazing when you look at the REAL needs in your life and discover how simple and easy life can be. I'm still with Jessa and she should move to California next year. I'm glad it is taking 3yrs. for her to move here so I can work 24/7 and not...Expand for more
have to worry about leaving her home alone for 2-3-4mos. at a time. She will arrive about the same time Tiara finishes her college education. Perfect timing!! OK....that's all for now. Drop me a note sometime at: toughnights at hot mail dot com.....jef
2009...I'm swimming 3 miles a day when I'm home. I got blown over in my 18-wheeler last month between Phoenix and Blythe. 120MPH straight-line tornado blew me south across the westbound lanes but me and 22,000lbs of diapers survived the ordeal. I'm back on the road next month until Christmas so I'll be updating then. God bless all of us!!.....jef
2011.....Things are good and still here in Coronado, CA. I got my mooring ball and bought a cheap boat to hold on to it until next year when I'll have Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr off work to find my "dream" sailboat. My daughter, Tiara, has graduated college and is now in Paris with a 1yr "working holiday" visa. I now hear from her once/twice every 2mos so this "little bird" has left the nest...haha. Thank God for Facebook so I can know she is OK and loving life. I'm off to the Philippines in July'11 for 2mos then will return with my fiance, Jessa. Ma/Pa are good but getting older and brother Kevin is preparing for back surgery to install steel rods in his back. It's been good to stay close to the family for moral/emotional/physical support these last 5yrs. It feels good to be here for my family as we age. My big truck has remained upright these last 2yrs and I'm still loving life on the road. What a BEAUTIFUL country we live in!! However, no more driving in bad weather and definitely no more winters on the road. Anyway, that's the best time for coastal sailing with the brisk winds. My first trip in the new boat next year will be to the Hollister and Bixby RANCHes between Gaviota, CA and Jalama, CA for a month of surfing/fishing.....May GOD bless us all.....Jef
2013.....Jessa has arrived and we're now enjoying our marital bliss. Tiara has graduated college and is now a graphic designer in Australia. I'm still travelling the USA, Australia and the Philippines. Life is great!! GOD bless us all.
