Jeff's Story
Hello Class of '82,
Hope you are all well.
I went to the University of Guelph and graduated in 1987 with an Honours BSc in Biology. I loved it in Guelph and had a great time.
I have been employed by the same employer since graduation ... Office of the Chief Coroner/Ontario Forensic Pathology Service. I started out as a pathologist's assistant and helped do ~20,000 forensic autopsies over the years. Cool job. Several years ago I became the Manager of Forensic Services at the Provincial Forensic Pathology Unit. Now, I'm involved in the front lines to design the largest and most state-of-the-art forensic facility in North America ... We begin construction in the spring of 2010. Back in the early 90's, I became a flight instructor and taught flying part-time for a few years. Although I don't fly now, it was an amazing experience.
Having always had a love for photography, I started a photo business several years ago. Check out my website at: mitphoto.ca
For those who know me, you'll know I was a shark nut. Still am :) Back in 2007 I had the privelege of cage diving with Great Whites off the coast of South Africa. WOW. It was awesome and the most incredible experience of my life.
I've been married for 20 years (scary) and have two beautiful daughters, Robyn (16) and Sydney (12).
Life's been quite the journey so far. I hope the second half is a good as the first.
Take care,
JEFF
