updated 03/25/08 with additional updates January 2023 Life My Spouse 22 years ago I went to an Italian restaurant in San Francisco's North Beach near my office for lunch. Fortunately, the place was busy and the waitress asked if I minded sharing a table. My table-mate turned out to be my future wife. Believe it or not, this chance meeting led to us going to Rome, Italy where we also shared a table at a restaurant. Actually, several restaurants. We also took time out to get married in Rome and met Pope JP II. My Pets March 2008. We are now owners of a wonderful little dog that we have named Roma. January 2023 Roma passed away a few years ago, but we still have her running buddy, Fearghal, who recently turned 16. My Job We moved to San Jose 3 years ago for a better job opportunity. Working in Silicon Vallley has turned out to be interesting. My new job is with Cisco Systems. It pays well, it's always interesting, I like the people I work with and it involves new challenges every day. UPDATE January 2023. I retired a couple of years ago and we re-settled in Florence Oregon, a lovely small town on the coast. Life in general Age is starting to catch up with me. I still have most of my hair, which is a minor miracle. Need to rid myself of a little gut that has developed. Last year I got sick, ended up having surgery and then a biopsy showed that I had cancer. I went through radiation therapy and am waiting to be declared cancer free. UPDATE January 2023. Still alive and kicking, pretty decent health for my age. I think I may have retired finally from playing ice hockey, but you never know. I have no idea how people perceived of me back in grade school and high school. I don't really look back at high school as the best yea...Expand for more
