Jeff's Story
School
I was a late transplant at C-K. I came to school in my Junior year from Pennsylvania. I immediately stuck out of the crowd due to my strange (yankee) taste in clothes and music. I loved all of the girls in school, because, C-K girls rock! I even married one! I hung out with most of the "cliques" since I had something in common with each one. The most memorable moment I had at C-K, was when I accidentally set fire to David Hodge's hair. I loved my time at Ceredo-Kenova High. It helped shape me into the person I am today.
Life
Here's a quick update on what I've been up to:
1987: Joined the Navy and was sent to a special forces unit in Virginia. Toward the end of my tour, I was sent to Iraq/Kuwait during Desert Storm for nine months. I then decided to leave Active Duty military service for a ...Expand for more
college degree and the Navy Reserves.
1995: Graduated from Marshall University with a Bachelor's in Political Science and Geography. Married Gail (Adkins-Class of '87) and settled down. Gail's more beautiful now than she was in 1986.
1996-Present: Gail and I have three great kids (Jake-13; Olivia-11; and Mitchell-8). After working for 8 years at Special Metals (aka the nickel plant), I now work as a refinery operator at Ashland Oil. I have run for the Wayne County Board of Education in 2000 & 2002 (lost by 125 votes). Remember to Vote! In 2004 I was mobilzed to Kuwait/Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom for 9 months, and again in 2007 for another 9 months. Gail, the children, and I now live in Westmoreland. I've had a very blessed life - all thanks to God. God bless and hope to see you soon.
